Take to the Water in Style with Spider-Man Swim Wear

If you've got a young Spider-Man fan in the family, you'll be amazed at all the merchandise available out there. There's bedroom decor, wall art, action figures, Halloween costumes and even Spider-Man swim wear. While it might be difficult for an adult to find a Spidey swimsuit, you'll have no problem finding one for the kids.

You can find swim trunks, arm floaties, rafts, floatation suits and even bathing suits for girls all with the distinct red and blue Spider-Man theme and spiderweb design. Keep in mind that floatation devices and suits are not lifesaving implements -- any child in the water should have an adult within arm's reach at all times. If you have trouble locating such swim wear in your local stores, there's always online shopping and even online auction sites. Intellectual teen Peter Parker is an orphan who lives with his aunt and uncle in Queens. He has one troubled friendship with Harry Osborn and has a secret crush on the girl next door, Mary Jane Watson. After being bitten by a spider with radioactive properties, he develops amazing powers such as the ability to jump over rooftops, sling and shoot webs, and even a form of psychic power known as spider-sense. At first, Peter wants to use his powers to make money in a wrestling match. But after his uncle is murdered, he decides to use his powers for good and find the killer. Not only that, he ends up fighting crime and battling a variety of colorful villains like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Carnage, Venom and more. And, he even gets to romance Mary Jane Watson.

The Spider-Man franchise gets bigger and bigger every day. The first movie starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst was a huge hit, and its sequel won an Academy award. In 2007 comes the third movie in the series, which is already anticipated to be very successful. Not only are the movies popular, but so are the soundtracks and variety of related merchandise. Look for Spider-Man swim wear to be more popular than ever in the summer, which is not only prime swimming season but also shortly after the next movie's release.
